Volunteer Opportunities

There is a place for everyone at Jefferson Fire Company. Whether you want to respond to emergencies, assist with traffic and scene safety, or support the organization behind the scenes, your involvement makes a direct impact on our community.

Membership Opportunities

• Junior Firefighter (Ages 14–17)
• Firefighter (18+)
• Fire Police (18+)
• Administrative & Support Members

No experience is required. Training is provided at no cost, and all necessary gear and uniforms are supplied by the fire company.

Volunteer Incentive Program

Jefferson Fire Company members may qualify for local and county incentive programs that recognize the dedication and commitment of volunteer first responders.

Township Volunteer Incentive Program

Active members who meet participation requirements established by the department and township may qualify for township-based volunteer incentives and benefits.

Montgomery County Real Estate Tax Rebate Program

Eligible active volunteer firefighters and fire police members may qualify for up to a 100% rebate on eligible Montgomery County real estate taxes through the county’s Volunteer Service Credit Program.

Program eligibility is based on participation requirements, training, emergency response activity, and additional guidelines established by the county.

Membership Information

Annual Membership Dues

• Active Members — $10.00
• Junior Members — $1.00

Required Background Checks

Please select “Volunteer” when completing both required Pennsylvania applications.

• PA State Police Criminal Records Check
• Volunteer fee waived
• PA Child Abuse History Certification
• Volunteer fee waived

Once your application is submitted, it will be reviewed by the Membership Committee. A representative will contact you regarding the next steps of the application process.
